It was a bright, sunny, and surprisingly warm Saturday afternoon in February, when members of the Toronto Branch went to visit the Scottish Rite Club of Hamilton.
About 20 members of the Branch, and their guests took the opportunity, on February 20th, 2016 to gather for a very delicious lunch in Hamilton, Ontario. Following the Branch lunch, we were given a rare opportunity to tour the Club (Towers Manor) and the Scottish Rite Cathedral. Our tour guide Jason Burgoin, also a member of the Branch, provided a great deal of information on the history of the building and the artifacts which the building holds. Members of the Branch also got to see a few of the Grants of Arms the Canadian Heraldic Authority has granted to Masonic originations and Lodges within Canada, as well as a few of the seals bearing arms that are used within Freemasonry.
It was a great opportunity for the Branch to gather together and afforded an opportunity to see a gem of a historical building once owned by Mr. George Tuckett.
